Used for more than 30 years, the products applied in this treatment are especially effective regarding the resculpting of the philtrum (the area between the nose and the upper lip). They are also used to soften the nasolabial folds (the lines from each side of the nose to the mouth), the small wrinkles around the mouth, remove scars or even to enhance the volume and thus remodelling the lips.

Procedure:

The procedure of the treatment, either given to a 30-year-old patient as a preventive measure or to an older person as a means of correction, consists of the injection of a product that will fill out the deep lines in the face or go under the wrinkles in order to soften them.

There are two types of products: reabsorbable implants, giving an effect for about 6 to 12 months on average before gently decreasing, and permanent or non-reabsorbable implants, only used in treatments of very deep furrows or volume deficiency.

The resorbable products give an immediate effect, that will begin to diminish progressively within a couple of months, whereas the non-reabsorbable implants give a long-lasting effect, achieving their optimum effect in matter of six weeks on average.
